Let's face it, most Scouts have seen some heavy abuse at some point in their life. The steering box mount is one area where that abuse shows up. The frame's fatigue and form stress cracks around the steering box mounting holes. Our steering box reinforcement plates will repair and support this area and help tighten up the steering feel of your Scout II. We recommend welding the plates in but they can be bolted in if welding is not an option.
